Encapsulation System

Most homes that have crawlspaces were built with dirt floors and venting systems to allow the flow of outside air to reach the crawlspace.  Because of air being vented into the crawlspace, condensation will occur thus causing moisture issues to become more prevalent as a home ages.

An encapsulation system seals and conditions the crawlspace to become part of the home.  It prevents any moisture from reaching the wood components of the foundation and causing damage.  The encapsulation system is a newer system that homeowners are using to upgrade out-dated crawlspaces.

The encapsulation system is comprised of  a heavy duty vapor barrier that is sealed to the foundation walls and floor.  By completely sealing the floor and walls in the crawlspace, water and moisture will not be able to seep through the barrier.
